Devastating Storm Darragh Causes Widespread Damage Across the UK and Ireland

Storm Darragh has left a significant mark on the UK and Ireland, bringing high winds and torrential rain that caused widespread power outages and property damage. Amid this chaos, our Sales Team Manager, Gareth Thomas, has been on the front lines, visiting affected parks and offering much-needed support.

A Firsthand Account from Aberdunant Hall Holiday Park

One of Gareth’s stops was Aberdunant Hall Holiday Park, where he worked closely with the park owner Adam to manage the aftermath of the storm. Sharing his experience, Gareth said:

“Adam had closed the park as a precaution and moved customers and staff to their hotel. I checked in again the next day and found out there was damage, but the extent was unclear due to the ongoing storm. Just a few hours later, it was evident that some caravans were lost.

I visited to show support, assess the situation, and inform the relevant parties. During my visit, I met with customers who thanked us for our quick response. Adam was extremely grateful for my prompt visit and mentioned that the damage could have been much worse if not for their extensive tree maintenance plan throughout the year.”
